She doesn’t hide behind the “mainstream” celebrity image, instead she dares to be different by not wearing Christian Louboutin’s everyday.

With her raybans on and rocking her snapback to the back, Rihanna loves to show off her personal style. Despite some of her music lyrics or actions, Rihanna remains a positive image to young people world wide. Keep rockin’ out Rihanna!

The man whom recently found love with Kim K., was spotted out in L.A. wearing the classic first pair of Air Jordan shoes that started the empire. Kanye West is pictured wearing the Air Jordan 1′s Retro in the Black and Royal Blue colorway. The shoes are a slated to release early 2013. Kanye West has done it again! The superstar has launched the second edition to his Nike Air shoe collection! The shoe was designed by Kanye himself which showed his versatility in fashion and also his own personal taste in style.

The shoes launched on Saturday, June 9th here in the U.S. This is after months of anticipation and built up hype.

Most shoe stores had a lottery-style release, meaning, only those whose numbers were drawn were able to purchase the shoes.

Like any other highly anticipated shoe release, people camped out the night before and weathered the rain and heat in order to be able to claim pair of the memorable shoes.

But this question always presents itself during these types of high profiled launches….

Was the hype REALLY worth it?

YES! I 100% believe that Kanye and Nike developed a shoe that was worthy of all the built up anticipation and avid shoe collectors eagerness to purchase a pair.

In a previous post, I discussed the qualities and attributes associated with a shoe worthy of being added to your shoe collection. It is no secret or question that the Nike Air Yeezy II’s are more than a collectable, they are like rare diamonds that you will not find in everyone’s possession.

Owning a pair of these shoes shows that you are capable of seeking out discreet locations which probably didn’t disclose to the public if they were releasing the shoes or not. It also shows your love for a true collectors item.

Kanye west has fans of all walks of life, his versatility in music and fashion only solidifies his presence in our everyday life. His brand follows the “Be Everywhere” attitude. Not only is his present in the music industry, but also in our closets. I believe his love for fashion will only magnify in the years to come. He will let us in on his top fashion secrets and even launch is own clothing line!

Kanye is also mentioned in my top 25 most influential celebrities because he listens to his personal style. He doesn’t take the media’s opinion into consideration when he launches his shoe designs or when he prepares his wardrobe for a tour. I feel that his ability to wear what suites his personality makes him unmatched by any other celebrity to date!

5 Reasons Why The Jordan Concords XI Will Go Down In History!

The anticipation for the Release of the 2011 Concord XI are growing by the second! With a release date of December 23, 2011, the search for the most highly sought after shoe is ON! Retailers are prepared for the largest turnout in the Air Jordan franchise history.

As we speak, shoe stores all over the country are taking in their stock of the legendary shoes. If you are one of the lucky few that will get your hands on a pair on the December release date, consider yourself a true sneaker head! .. and also LUCKY. Malls are expecting lines to form starting at 12:00 pm midnight. Retailers are encouraging people to know of a location and get their early as possible. Wednesday I will be releasing a detailed list of stores that will be releasing the Jordan Concords XI.

I know that there are a few sneaker seekers who have doubts about not purchasing the Concord Xi’s. You may have argue that this isn’t by far the best retro release Air Jordan has experienced. You may simply not like the design with the icey blue bottoms. Whatever your argument is, I’m sure this post will change your mind quickly and open your eyes to 5 reasons why you should invest in a piece of American shoe history!

When you think of the brand “Jordan” you immediately relate it to the best shoe selling franchise in the world. Michael Jordan left his legacy on this earth, not only in the game of basketball, but also in the world of fashion. Air Jordan’s were shoes that instantly became classics once Michael Jordan put his specifications and hard work into the design. Owning a pair of Jordan’s means you own a piece of history. It would be extremely hard for any other shoe brand to de-throne the almighty “Air Jordan”.

Here are my 5 reasons why you should invest in the Jordan Concords XI

1. Quality Guaranteed

Often times we purchase shoes from other brands that we think have demographically satisfied our fashion appetite. We assume that other shoe companies have put the time into correcting any mistakes (design, colorways, etc) by listening to the requests of their customers. We assume that the other shoe companies make their shoes with the best quality and dedication possible.

Wrong….

Jordan goes above and beyond the call of duty to ensure their customers are getting what they are paying for. The Jordan brand is so precious to Michael Jordan that he personally ensures the quality, time, and effort that is guaranteed.

The last thing any avid sneaker head wants is a shoe that doesn’t meet the demographics or specifications of those who it’s trying to reach. At Jordan, every shoe is designed with the customer in mind. If, as a collective group, people feel that Jordan isn’t responding with what their customers want, I’m sure it would be a matter of days/weeks before Jordan is responding with something better to satisfy our fashion needs. They LISTEN to their customers. For this very reason, Jordan is hailing as the best shoe company of all time.

2. Newly Added Feature

As with any shoe what is being crafted for a re-launch, the designers are bound to add some distinguishable touches to the design in order to make the shoe stand out even more than it’s previous launch. The designers take on the task of recreating a shoe that sold incredibly well in the 90′s and adding features that are common in most shoes in today’s shoe market.

One common feature that most brands have stuck to that is reaching specifications all across the shoe market …. Icey Blue Bottoms!

I can admit that this added feature gives the shoe a more modern touch and feel. It proves that Jordan is actually keeping themselves in the loop by incorporating design features that have gone over really well with other shoe lines. Of course Jordan will somehow tweak it to their advantage by making it as noticeable as possible.

Notice the Dark blue along the ball of your foot also along the heel of your foot.
The light icey blue directly under the foot. I feel this touch is incredible, especially when you think of how the foot is made. That part of the foot doesn’t touch the ground! cool right?
Last but not least, you can’t acknowledge the bottom design without pointing out the “jump-man” logo in the center of the shoe. That alone seals the deal for me!

Designers have mentioned that the Icey bottoms on shoes gives the appearance of a durable and dirt-resistant shoe. The Icey bottoms take much longer to deteriorate and fade than other shoes without that feature.

3. The DEMAND

With every re-launch of Jordan shoes, the demand tends to exceeds the actual production. This means that people are going above and beyond their normal means of attaining the shoes. Most people have already locked in their exclusive pair through their favorite sneaker website online. Although the price will skyrocket if purchased online, it seems to be the only way to guarantee a pair sign, sealed, and delivered!

When seeking such a highly anticipated shoe, people don’t realize that they must search harder, longer, and FASTER in order to receive a pair.

On the eve of high profiled shoes such as the Concords XI there will be lines forming at retailers all over the nation. They often begin forming at midnight and continues to grow longer as the release time approaches. People will camp out (if allowed) just to ensure their spot in line. I do believe that this will be one of those launches where people will have to do their RESEARCH before they head out to the retailers for numerous reasons.

You want to make sure that your local retailer will have the shoe in stock on the day it releases.
Find out what time that particular store opens and what time do they allow for lines to start forming.
Find out how many of each size will they carry (most stores carry no more than 10-15 pair per size) which is why finding out the first two points are very important.
Find out if the price differs amongst stores (often times it doesn’t but it doesn’t hurt to be certain!)

By answering the above questions, you are putting yourself at a great advantage because you are informed about things that most people pay no attention to before they head out shopping.

4. Exclusivity

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but ….. Everyone will NOT be getting their hands on a pair of these shoes! With such a high anticipation for the shoe, it kind of comes with the territory. I believe for this very reason the Concords will be so historical! Think about it, If the Treasury department made more money just to pay back the debt we are in, it would decrease the value of the dollar greatly! It kind of the same thought. If Jordan produced so many shoes that would stock up every retailer in the nation, it wouldn’t be such an anticipation because people will know that they can randomly stroll to the store and pick up a pair during a normal day’s shopping trip!

Without the exclusivity there wouldn’t be a thrill building up to the release date! people wouldn’t be as pressured to go to the stores to get the shoes. The adrenaline wouldn’t be running high! lol

For this very reason, I want to stress the fact from above. Do Your Research! Make sure you can answer the questions above without any doubts. If you have to, call the stores to get the scoop. I’m sure they would tell you everything you need to know because they don’t want any angry customers showing up at their stores on the day of the release. So utilize your resources and make them work in your favor.

Everyone will be trying to get their hands on a pair, but you will have the advantage just by doing a little research ahead of time

5. Relevance

The Jordan brand has been around for over 20 years. They have put their all into every shoe they created in order to satisfy their loyal customers. With the abundant rise of competitors, Jordan has yet to change their style or purpose.

Michael Jordan wanted his brand to cater not only to his fans, but to those who truly love sneakers with a passion. As his brand continues to inspire people daily, I don’t think he will lose focus of what he has accomplished and yet to accomplish.

Continuing to be relevant has not been an issue with Jordan. And I don’t think it’s due to their marketing team. It’s due to their dedication to produce shoes that people are willing to spend a great deal of money for to obtain. I credit their respect for a man who changed the game of basketball as we know it! Having such an impact on someone’s life will inspire them to do great things and achieve even more than they aspire to.

With the release of the Concords XI quickly approaching it’s important to do your research to ensure yourself a pair of history! Remember, with the anticipation running high …… So should your adrenaline!

In Today’s ever changing world of fashion, it’s important to have a “few good men” you can look up to when it comes to finding your fashion voice. Men who have taken the risk of stepping outside of the fashion norm to create their own personal style. At the end of the day that is what we all should strive to do. Becoming of your own by using what influences you the most, that’s the goal at hand. These men have all influenced the way I dress due to their creativity and uniqueness. Most of them are faces spotted throughout the entertainment industry, so their personal style and appearance is what makes them their living! So being on point is a key of life with them.

Below I have compiled my official Top 25 men who have exemplified their swag on levels that no others can compare. These are men I look up to and who inspire me to be more creative on my fashion pursuit! From Big Sean to Diggy Simmons to Bruno Mars, and even one celebrity that influenced everyone by becoming the worlds greatest performer. You can without a doubt expect some high praises and show of appreciation coming from some one like myself who believes they have the total package and shines no matter what the opposition may say. So prepare yourself for my first ever “top list” post because I’m about to enlighten you on those who have enlightened me! (P.S. This list is in NO particular order!)

Unpredictable, trendsetter, and limitless are all words that accurately describe the talented and and fashionably innovative Chris Brown! His fashion game rules the R&B industry and which shows through the love his fans show him on a daily basis. They use his innovative style and creative personality to develop a wardrobe that’s comfortable and to their liking. This reason, among others, are why Chris Brown deserved a spot on the top 25 list. Justin Bieber has serenaded fans all over the world at the young age of 16. He has managed to slide his way into the world of young teens everywhere. In my opinion, it is safe to say that Justin Bieber is considered an idol to many and has inspired young people all over the world that they can become a trendsetter. Justin does all he can to please his fans, but what he does to satisfy himself is dress according to his personality and liking. It’s obvious his team of stylists aren’t pressuring him to dress according to the trends just because they are what other celebrities are wearing. What you never want to do is sell yourself out just because some “professional stylist” says something else is hotter than what you are wearing. Just do like Justin, keep yourself encouraged and be independent. Know what you can wear and what you “shouldn’t”.

Drake

The minute drake snatched our attention with his galatical mixtape “So Far Gone” we never knew he wouldn’t give it back! Drake knows his calling in this world is entertainment, but I wonder if he knows he could possibly have two callings? Drakes skillful ability to intertwine two fashion trends is simply amazing. Many will credit this to his team of stylists, but I’m almost certain that his fashion style came along with him in a total package. He has the following behind him to conceive a brand new fashion statement, but chooses to influence his followers with his motivation rhymes and incredible track arrangements. Drake’s personal style is the perfect example of how one’s wardrobe should evolve as they evolve. When you look back at your old pictures, you should see a difference in what you looked like then (fashion wise) and what you look like now. Every red carpet event and every concert drake headlines, he will without a doubt be equipped to steal the show, not only with his talented rhymes, but with his personal style and fashion statements.

Justin Timberlake has made a house hold name for himself over the years. He wrote his name in the history books while achieving massive record sales and acquiring a large fan base. His talented songs and music videos have catapulted him into the fashion realm. It is here where people like myself can really get a sense of JT’s personal style. He has become the inspiration of so many different trends amongst groups of people, friends, and communities. With his clothing line “William Rast” Justin is able to showcase his love for fashion and even incorporate his own personal style into his clothing line. For a chance we are able to see what inspires Justin to become the fashion icon that he is. I guess it’s fair to say that Justin Timberlake stuck to his word when he told us he was “bringing sexy back” lol His new take on fashion and sense of style allows for any man to feel completely comfortable when wearing items from his clothing line. Justin is a fashion icon of our time and will continue to turn heads and break records.

Will has inspired me and countless other young people around the world to not only be who they want to be in today’s society, but to do so without caring what others may have to say.

David Beckham is one of the worlds greatest soccer players currently dominating the sport. Although he is often seen wearing his LA Galaxy uniform, don’t be surprised if you see him dressed to impress for a night out on the town with his wife “Posh”. What I like about this English phenom is his ability to turn on his fashion sense and turn heads! It could be for a simple walk to the coffee shop, you will still see David Beckham pushing the fashion envelope. What really impress me about David is that his unprecedented style doesn’t make-up his personality, his personality makes up his Style! On a regular, I’m exposing how important it is to allow your personality to help you create a suitable wardrobe that’s fitting for you. Using David Beckham as an inspiration could really help you get the ball rolling on creating your own wardrobe. David bears talent and a high sense of fashion, he definitely deserved a position on this post!

Usher has always been a celebrity that is capable of keeping his fashion meter at a normal level. Every red carpet event, guest appearances, and photo shoot, you can always expect Usher to dress in a manner that is quite simple, but is still him. Usher is the celebrity who believes that you don’t have to impress to nail the look you are going for. Meaning, you shouldn’t always rely on a compliment from others just to make you feel good. You should always, no matter what others say, stick to what works for you. Fashion wise, Usher is definitely running with the big dogs. In the countless concert performances that he does, his wardrobe is never the same. His ability to turn it on and off at the drop of a hat makes him that more fashionably appealing. Just because Usher doesn’t dress to impress the photogs and paparazzi, don’t think he doesn’t know his fashion. Usher attends countless runway shows and can be spotted on the front row of fashion week every fall. His dedication to fashion exceeds all expectations and offers a inspiration to everyone around the world who seeks confidence within themselves.

Adam Levine

Adam Levine is another American trendsetter that knows how to keep it simple and fashionable at the same time. His originality in designs and trends is what sets him apart from most celebrities. Adam is known world-wide as a musician (rocker) cranking out chart topping singles with his band Maroon 5. Their overall fashion appeal mostly consists of tanks and cargo shorts, however, it works for him! He is able to satisfy the musical needs of millions world wide with that simple wardrobe attire. This simply says that it’s not what you wear, its how you wear it. I’m sure Adam has a large selection of different tanks, v-necks, and cargo’s that differ in style. Adam Levine makes it look easy, but to put it in simple terms, it’s just Adam being himself.

He pushed through the acting industry at a very young age and have been frequently seen in high budgeted films such as “Takers” and Oprah Winfrey’s special “There Eyes Were Watching GOD”. It’s quite hard to find men who possess business fashion attributes. Michael Ealy makes minimal effort to show his dapper business wardrobe. Michael Jackson may have had a voice coach, band director, and even a hair stylist, but one thing Michael surely didn’t need was a fashion stylist.

Michael wasn’t your ordinary performer. He serenaded sold out arena’s in what he thought projected his loving and caring personality. Shiny shirts, silky pants, and leather shoes was as average as the pop legend would go. He wanted the audience to leave his shows having had the “Michael Jackson Experience.” Being the only performer of his time donning such creative costumes, Michael was able to draw his fans closer thru his fashion choices. For years the “Fashion King” title has been thrown around from coast to coast. Heavy hitters in the entertainment industry proudly represent the city in which they reside in hopes of gaining the “Fashion King” title. If you are thinking to yourself “I wonder who are the judges“ Then the answer is …… YOU.

Most measure this through the fashion responses they recieve from their fans and also residents of the given cities. Although this may sound like a true competition between two of the worlds most “trendiest” cities …. It’s not! It’s simply the story of how two fashion capitals of the world have been rivals ever since the fashion industry grew larger than expected. Both cities have their respectible fashion trends that they claim to have originated. Below I’m going to mention a few trends that both cities made famous.

Air Force One’s

: described as the greatest and most influential sneaker of all time. Released in 1982.

The Air Force One shoe collection took blast in 1982 with Nike introducing the first air technology enhanced shoe. Most people don’t know that the Air Force One was the shoe that inspired Micheal Jordan to create his own shoe line. Nike has developed over 1500 different colors and styles, making the Air Force One one of the most influential shoe to ever hit closets all over the world! Now I bet you are wondering which city claims have birth this trend ….

New York City

Snapback Hats

With every trend that comes across the nation, you can count on it having already been a trend from “back in the day”. Snapback hats are the perfect example of a trend that took over the nation in the 80′s and early 90′s. Today the trend is back like it never left! Many people who are hat lovers have included snapbacks into their hat collection. These hats come in all colors including teams and cities. I bet you are wondering where this trend could have possibly taken flight…. My answer is Los Angeles.

Being at the center of attention constantly is nothing new to Diggy, his entire family has been featured on MTV on the hit TV show “Runs House”. This is where we first started seeing glimpses of Diggy’s fashion attributes and personal style.

We could all learn from him in numerous ways when it comes to building a solid fashionable wardrobe that compliments our own personal style and preferences.

Whats the key to building a explosive wardrobe?

Styding Diggy’s style, I realized that he is capable of incorporating two different trends together to make one which makes him stand out beyond his peers. This is the key to building a wardrobe that illuminates your personality.

Being able to put a unique spin on trends that are currently ruling the world is without a doubt the most creative way to establish your own fashion brand. Not being open minded to new things could definitely be something that could hold you back from achieving your fashion goals. Of course there are some fashion statements that have come along that I wasn’t a fan of, but because I was able to take that trend and put my own spin on it, I found it to be not so bad after all.

The cast of MTV’s hit reality show gives millions of viewers a well needed laugh every Thursday night! Although most are tuned in to watch the outrageous pranks and fights the cast generate every week, I find myself watching from a different perspective.

While every character has their own personal style, I find myself closely related to the style of Pauly D! Every time the gang head out for the club, Pauly steals the spotlight with his cool accessories and unique personal style.

Even when the gang is not filming, you can catch him on the 1′s and 2′s at nightclubs countrywide mixing and spinning behind the DJ booth. Even then he keeps his swagger up in order to make himself original.

By examining Pauly’s personal style, I find it important that we take some of his ideas and opinions on fashion and try to include them in our own personal style. His ability to standout in the crowd of “Jersey Shore” stars definitely makes him someone to pay close attention to both in the entertainment world and in the fashion world!
